20 Sep Yves Rocher’s New Range at the Old Botanical Garden Zurich
With Miss Earth Switzerland Sarah Laura Peyrel
The Old Botanical Garden was founded in 1837. It is a beautiful green location in Zurich and a very fitting setting for Yves Rocher to launch its Autumn Collection. The company are very “green” in their outlook and one of their bywords is offering “botanical beauty”. They use natural products derived from flowers and plants which work with the skin to enhance and improve your natural beauty. Showcasing the new range and in particular highlighting the lovely new fragrance “OUI A L’AMOUR”, which has notes of rose and cedar, was Sarah Laura Peyrel, the current Miss Earth Switzerland. You may remember we wrote about Sarah winning her title earlier this year (see here) and she has been busy doing all kinds of good works and helping the environment since she got crowned. In fact her next project is to visit Manila in October where she will be helping in orphanages and doing other good work for a month, before taking part in the finals of Miss Earth Universe.
In the Pavillion at the Botanical garden we had the opportunity to test out many of the products and to enjoy a hand massage with one their wonderful hand creams. I chose the olive oil hand cream which I can definitely recommend and was interested to know that in their shop in Bahnhofstrasse Zurich they offer a range of massages and beauty treatments too – so next time you’re passing why not pop in and take a look?
In fact they also offer a facial analysis service using a device which measures the elasticity, hydration, granularity and pigmentation of your skin so that they can best advise you on the creams which will work best with your skin type. The analysis only takes about 5 – 10 minutes and again, this is a service which they offer in the shops.
There were some great colours and products in their new range and it was good to hear about the many projects the company is involved in as part of its commitment to sustainability and its stance against pollution.
One of these involves the Yves Rocher Foundation which aims to plant 100 Million new trees before 2020. In fact they are well on track, having planted over 72 Million already and it is only 2017! The foundation is committed to preserving biodiversity and is a pioneer in global eco-citizenship. This is just one of the many projects they are involved in and it was great to hear Yves Rocher Switzerland’s General Manager Carsten Seupke, speak so enthusiastically about the company’s green credentials.
We wish Sarah Laura Peyrel the best of luck for the final heat of the Miss Earth Universe contest and our fingers are tightly crossed for her.
